“ My daughter recently mentioned "Helfer's on 3rd". My wife and I stopped in for lunch. My being a fan of hot dogs I ordered one with all the trimmings. The bun was crisp, the dog was fat and juicy and the condiments just right. I also had their homemade recipe tortilla soup and found it very good. My wife enjoyed a Ceasar Salad. The owner mentioned the after 4:00 p.m. (check for days) "Speak Easy" located downstairs. The space decorated with vintage furniture and well stocked bar capture the era perfectly. This is the great place for couples or small groups to meet. This "Step back in time" is well worth the visit. The "Speak Easy" space can be booked in advance for private parties! ”

“ My wife and I went in for lunch. It was our first time at the new restaurant. I orderd the cheeseburger with fries and my wife had the chicken wings with a side of onion rings we enjoyed the meal. The service was good the beer was cold and the food will bring us in again. Overall a good experience. I recommend giving them a try when you are around the down town Gresham area. ”

“ We had a booster meeting for football there last week and they were super accommodating and I personally love the Mac Dog (I think that’s what it’s called) so tasty!! Thank you!! ”

“ Nice enough place... Almost like a bar you can bring your kids to? Not a lot of places to get a hot dog and they have a full menu of big Costco sized dogs for a not unreasonable amount of money. I had the burger on Texas toast and it came with fries for $13, however some of the hot dogs were $12-13 which is good if they came with fries but they don't, they come with chips, fries are 4 more dollars and are grocery store variety crinkle cuts... Not sure why the burger is cheaper than a hot dog... The burger was pretty good. My family seemed to enjoy their hot dogs. We had a couple beers that were good but not cheap by any means. It's not overpriced but the place has kind of a bargain feel, I think I would have liked it more it was like a "wow that was cheap experience". If you're gonna charge $12-13 for a hot dog include fries or maybe a 2 dollar upcharge 4 bucks is too much for a hand full of crinkle cuts. Lottery cheapens the place a bit and makes it feel more like a bar than it should. It's not a bad place. ”

“ Needed food so I stopped in and had a delicious cheeseburger that came with fries and got the jalapeno poppers too. The food was made perfectly and their ranch is homemade so it’s amazing! The owner was working and was such a great conversationalist. The down stairs is a beautiful speakeasy that I’ll definitely have to check out. Highly recommend this place to everyone-kids are allowed until 7! ”
